You’ve heard stories of the city, of heroes and super powered people using their powers freely. It’s not the life you had out in the sticks, but with your recent move you’ve got more license to use your powers. After you get used to city life, that is.
The Transfer's themes are classic Fish Out of Water tropes. The Transfer is from beyond the typical super hero stylings of whatever story you set them in, super heroes and their antics either a rarity or something they only hear about on the TV. The difference is they've got powers, and they've come to the big city looking to learn how to do what the people in the city have known all their lives. While they may not know much about big city life, they bring their own knowledge and charm with them wherever they go.
The Transfer's moves aid in pushing their folksy, salt of the earth roots while their Extra Mechanic Going Native helps enforce the reality that they've not had as much time to really test the limits of their powers. While The Transfer may have some powers that they've stretched and tested, others just couldn't get the same attention. The Transfer gets a sixth Condition called Quirk which applies to these less understood powers, which adds additional complications when you roll misses and hits while it's marked.
The Transfer is inspired by the Clark Kent era of Superman, especially the television show Smallville, along with other Viewer Surrogate style characters found throughout media.
